Wine re-exporters allowed quick clearance at more Chinese cities by 15/11/2017  


Wine traders in Hong Kong who are re-exporting to mainland China will be allowed to clear customs at a faster pace in all 42 customs districts, from today. Earlier, traders were allowed the facility in the customs districts of Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.

The facility is available to pre-registered Hong Kong wine traders, who may submit advance information online on their wine consignments.

Meanwhile, the Syndicat General Des Vignerons De La Champagne is making its debut at the Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair representing seven growers. Only wines made in Champagne AOC of France can be labelled as "Champagne". SGV represents 15,000 winegrowers from Champagne with one-third of them (Les Champagnes de Vignerons) producing champagne using their own grapes.
